Welcome Robin Fowler, Executive Director, Advancement and Community Engagement

Greenwood is pleased to welcome Robin Fowler, MEd, CFRE, as Executive Director, Advancement and Community Engagement.

Robin brings with her a wealth of advancement experience from a variety of sectors, including independent schools, higher education and healthcare. She has more than 30 years’ experience as a successful fundraising leader, strategist and community builder.

Robin joins us from St. Michael’s Hospital Foundation, where she held the role of Vice-President, Philanthropy, Strategy and Campaigns since 2019. In this role, she led the fundraising team in its efforts to raise funds in support of two hospitals within Unity Health Toronto, raising over $50 million annually. Robin supported and led the cultivation of numerous transformational gifts, as well as stewardship for many of the Foundation’s major donors. She designed and established many new initiatives, including the Women’s Power Circle to enhance engagement with more women philanthropists, a Task Force on Planned Giving & Strategic Philanthropy to encourage more planned gifts, and a Hospital Champions group to build internal ambassadors and a strong culture of philanthropy.

Robin brings a depth of experience from her consulting practice where she worked with many organizations, including Canadian Olympic Foundation, Jewish Family and Child, McGill University, Queen’s University, The Bishop Strachan School, University of Toronto, Vancouver General Hospital Foundation, Young People’s Theatre and more.

As a lifelong learner, Robin is thrilled to be coming to Greenwood.

“Schools are such happy places, filled with joy, optimism, hope, positivity. I am very excited to join the Greenwood team and look forward to meeting the students and their families, the alumni community, as well as past parents and others who have built Greenwood into the incredible school that it is today,” she said. “I believe in the mission of the school to challenge, inspire and support each student. The school’s focus on personalized learning, outdoor education and the ‘high-challenge-high support’ approach are what I wish I had experienced. I look forward to supporting the school and future Greenwood students and alumni through enhanced community engagement and philanthropy.”

She looks forward to connecting with members of the Greenwood community this fall.

Please join us in welcoming Robin to Greenwood!

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and as settlers, we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
