Greenspace Project Update and Join Us for Turf Talks
Students, parents/guardians, alumni and staff are invited to stop by the Lodge to get the real dirt on the greenspace construction and plan this March. See a turf sample, chat with the ACE Team about the latest updates, and hear from teachers and staff about how they'll make use of the future greenspace. Updated renderings for the project will also be on display for you to get a close-up look.
Tues., March 25, 7:30-11 a.m.
Wed., March 26, 8:30-11 a.m.
Thurs., March 27, 5-9 p.m.
On Tuesday, February 25, Greenwood senior leaders, volunteer leaders and early greenspace project donors attended a virtual event to meet the architect, hear more about the project plans, and ask questions. Zoning approval has been completed and shoring and abatement of the site land is underway.
Frequently asked questions and more information about the project can be found here.
We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
