Junior Musical Frozen Jr. delights audiences

A huge congratulation to all those involved in Greenwood’s Junior Musical Frozen Jr.! The show received standing ovations from sold-out crowds during its November run.

The show featured all the classic favourites from the movie musical ("Let it Go" with the audience unable to resist singing along!), as well as some new songs from the stage show. Greenwood’s Grade 7 to 9 students shone in their onstage roles, and behind-the-scenes a large contingent of crew made of up students from all grades and Greenwood staff helped keep things running smoothly, with eye-catching costumes, hair and makeup all included too!

Directors Hailey Scott and Adelaide Leo, along with musical director Lindsay Newman, said they are so proud of production and all those involved.

“What a snow-stopping performance! From the very first rehearsal to the final bow, the cast and crew of Frozen Jr. truly brought magic to Arendelle and showed that some things truly are worth melting for. With little Elsa’s and Kristoff’s in the audience, our actors captured imaginations and made the world of Frozen Jr. come to life. The cast and crew supported one another through every rehearsal, shared countless laughs, and created memories that will last a lifetime. They showed us that teamwork and hard work can create something extraordinary, and together, they all truly made magic.”

Kudos and congratulations to all!

We acknowledge with gratitude the Ancestral lands upon which our main campus is situated. These lands are the Ancestral territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, Anishinabek and the Wendake. The shared responsibility of this land is honoured in the Dish with One Spoon Treaty and we strive to care for the land, the waters, and all creatures in the spirit of peace. We are responsible for respecting and supporting the enduring presence of all First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples. When away from this campus we vow to be respectful to the land by protecting and honouring it. We will create relationships with the people and the land we may visit by understanding the territories we enter and the nations who inhabit them.
