The 2024 Terry Fox Run

Each year, Greenwood raises funds for the Terry Fox Foundation in support of cancer research. This is a great way to get students involved with their Houses as the Houses that raise the most funds win additional House points. Students and families could donate online or through the Toonies for Terry coin drive. This year, Greenwood raised a total of $13,782.40 for the foundation, with the Timberwolves raising the most from their House.

After the fundraising drive, Greenwood students and staff participated in the Terry Fox Run on September 27. Students and staff donned on their House colours and face paint to run in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The students were split into three groups to race at different times with the Grade 11s and 12s making one group, the Grade 9s and 10s the second group and the Grade 7s and 8s forming the final group. The top 20 runners from each group also earned additional House points.
